2009 is BP's Centenary year.

Centenary: The BP Story

As part of a range of media being produced to celebrate the event we have produced a full-scale feature documentary to chart the history of the company from the incorporation of the Anglo Persian Oil Company in 1909 through to the present day.

Directed by BAFTA and Emmy award-winning writer/director Nigel Williams, the film draws-upon rarely-seen archive footage from the BP Video Library and on over 30 hours of interviews with BP retirees.

Centenary: The BP Story represents documentary making of the highest standard, continuing BP's 80-year tradition of producing world-class films.

Over the past few weeks, BP sites around the world have been holding screening events to showcase the specially commissioned documentary film 'Centenary: The BP Story'. These local showings have proved popular and, given the length (83 minutes), we felt offered the best way for employees to appreciate the film it in its entirety and full glory. However, as some employees were unable to attend one of these showings, we have now also made the film available online.
